Our Organization has many goals besides youth hockey development, like making the game of hockey fun, safe, affordable and especially keeping the kids wanting to come back for more. Hockey is a sport that mom and dad don't just sign up for to keep their kids busy and out of their way. The kid's who play hockey play the sport because they truly love the game. The commitment on the parents part is as big, if not bigger than the child's. When a child plays hockey, at whatever level, the season is always a travel season because rinks aren't located in all towns like ball fields. This sport doesn't fit into a families lifestyle, it becomes a lifestyle all its own. Currently, our Organization has over 80 participants skating and although (happily) our membership is on the rise, like most other sports, the costs keep rising as well. The cost of one hour of ice time, in the past 5 years, has escalated from $255.00 to $410.00. Part of our Organization's Mission Statement, of keeping the game affordable, is being jeopardized because of too few rinks and the arenas decision to raise their price for ice. In order to keep our hockey players and their families coming back for more, our Organization continues to raise funds. I hope you will join us in one of the events listed below.
